Tall Grass Bakery is looking to add an experienced, full-time morning baker to our team. We are a small but busy woman-owned organic bread bakery with several long-time employees. Baker will handle the baking of our regular items--mostly bread but some pastries like cinnamon buns, scones, and muffins--from start to finish. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, able to finish tasks at a good pace, run their own shift, and be willing to make a 2-year commitment to our team. They will also have opportunities to contribute creatively to holiday and specialty items going forward. This person must be a reliable morning person and available to work weekends. Starting hours will be Wednesdays-Sundays, 4 am-12 pm.
Must have:
- Prior experience working in a bakery making bread, including baguettes (mixing dough, shaping loaves, and baking)
- Pastry experience, particularly cinnamon rolls and scones
-Familiarity with all professional kitchen equipment, including mixers, ovens, weights and measures
-Understanding of food safety practices
-Excellent time-management skills
-Ability to work as part of a team
-A customer-focused attitude
- Ability to lift 50# and stand for 6-8 hours
Certification from a culinary school is a plus.

Tall Grass Bakery is looking to add a part-time helper to work the bench shift. We are a small but busy woman-owned organic bread bakery with several long-time employees. This position will help the bakers shape the dough, prep work, clean up, and other duties as needed. They must be able to multitask, anticipate the team's needs, and take direction. The ideal candidate is tidy and able to keep up a good pace throughout their shift. Starting hours will be flexible, focusing on mid-morning to afternoon. Weekends are a must. Hours and compensation will depend on experience. There is the possibility of transitioning to full-time for the right candidate.
